8 TON SLOW SPEED DRAWBAR TRAILER
TWO MEMBER FRAME TRAILER
MAIN BEAMS: 6mm thick hot rolled steel web in neck and transition area. 5mm thick hot rolled steel web in main section. 100 x 12 "30 OAK" high strength steel flanges.
CROSS MEMBERS: 100 x 50 x 5M.S. pressed channels full width of trailer at 600mm spacing. 220 x 80 R.S.C. front rail and intermediate cross member for turntable support.
REAR RAIL: 178 x 54 R.S.C. chosen to resist rugged rear loading conditions.
FORECARRIAGE : ‘I’ beam longitudinals, 220 x 80 cross member suitably gusseted.
TURNTABLE : "JOST" HE18 ball turntable rated at 10 tons imposed load.
DRAWBAR: Heavy duty, light weight drawbar with "JOST" 40 ‘o’ eye and bushed, swivel, forecarriage lugs.
SUSPENSION: ‘GO’ single axle Multi-lever in front and at rear.
AXLE: ‘GO’ Hawk 105 square axle.
BRAKES: ‘GO’ 420 x 180 S-cam, designed to meet higher brake regulations.
RIMS: 7.5 x 20 disc type, hi-tensile steel, with 11mm thick nave, 10 stud.
BRAKE OPERATING PARTS: Conforming to latest S.A.B.S. standards.
LIGHTS & WIRING: DIN 7 pin socket 12 volt system, combination stop, turn and double taillights, with heavy duty bulbs.
TYRES: 1100 x 20 x 14 ply rated 5 off.
MUDFLAPS: MBC Mud flaps.
SPARE WHEEL CARRIER : Back to back basket type carrier. 1 off.
Low Bed Applications
We can supply all your low bed trailers up to 540 ton GCM. Trailers are supplied from both Italian and South African sources.
Whatever the requirement, for on and off road use we will be able to supply a suitable combination.
In addition we also supply Extra Heavy Duty Truck Tractors or can prepare your existing units for you if suitable.

FLOOR: 8mm Roqtuf plate and 76 x 38mm rolled channel cross members.
SIDES: 6mm mild steel fixed sides with vertical stiffeners and heavy duty rub rails.
TAILGATE: 6mm mild steel reinforced top or bottom hinged tailgate controlled by lever at front of body or automatic control.
HOIST: Hyva 30 ton capacity front of body hoist model FEE141-4-3430 hydraulic cylinder giving a 45 degree tipping angle, tipping speed +/- 30 seconds.
PUMP: Gear type pump close coupled P.T.O. with a displacement of 65 cm 3/REV. with a pressure set at 150 bar. P.T.O. and controls to be supplied by chassis supplier.
HOIST CONTROLS: Hydraulic control valves for up and down. All controlled from cab.
SAFETY PROP: Robust support for body in semi raised position.
MOUNTING: Body mounted in accordance with chassis manufacturer’s requirements.
FINISH: Metal descaled, phosphate coated and primed with zinc chromate. Body will be finished painted in two coats of good quality industrial enamel to required thickness and in the colour specified.
PAINT: Paint as cab or one colour to customer requirements.

HOIST: Hyva 12 ton capacity direct trust underbody hoist model UCB145-5-1900 hydraulic cylinder giving a 45 degree tipping angle, tipping speed +/- 30 seconds.
PUMP: Gear type pump close coupled P.T.O.. with a displacement of 65 cm3/REV. with a pressure set at 120 bar. P.T.O. and controls to be supplied by chassis supplier.
